FY 2023 Enacted Budget: Commerce

The fiscal year (FY) 2023 Commerce-Justice-Science appropriations bill was enacted in Division B of the FY 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act (P.L. 117-328). This brief describes funding and policy provisions affecting Department of Commerce (DOC) grant programs based on the bill, the accompanying joint explanatory statement, and the House committee report it references. This brief also provides an overview of a new DOC program authorized in the Research and Development, Competition, and Innovation Act, enacted as Division B of the CHIPS and Science Act, which received a significant appropriation.
